Since I really enjoyed Ong Bak, which also starred Tony Jaa and Petchthai Wongkamlao, I knew this movie would be great. I was NOT disappointed! The action scenes with Tony Jaa are incredible and I believe he will likely continue to bring the Muay Thai style of fighting to the big screen worldwide. Wongkamlao (as inspector Mark) is HILARIOUS. If you don’t get it, you just don’t get it. He’s kind of like Jackie Chan – if you don’t think he’s funny, you’re just not going to like him.

With the support of theefficient Thai sergeant Mark (Petchtai Wongkamlao), who was involved ina conspiracy, Kham fights to rescue the animal from the mobsters.' Tom Yum Goong' has a silly, flawed and absurd story, where gangstersdo not use guns, but sticks, clubs, rollers, bicycles, motorcycles orwhips. Further, they just fight in sequence against the hero, one byone, to have their arms and legs broken.
The criminal Johnny simplyvanishes without any further explanation. However, the choreography ofthe fights is amazing and very realistic, making this movie aworthwhile entertainment.
Tony Jaa is probably the successor of JackieChan and Jet Li, and I believe this movie could be less 'serious' andhave more humor like in Jackie Chan's films. What makes me sopassionate about Tony Jaa and his visual appeal is his overall dynamicnature in the fight scenes.
As told in the plot outline, his elephantsget stolen, and he must fight to get them back and fighting is what hedoes like no one else I have ever seen. It doesn't matter how manyopponents appear before Tony, he takes them all in stride, and excelsin dramatic fashion, either by his flying acrobatic kicks or hispowerful breathtaking punches.
